Jalon / Lliber area

Jalon Valley is famous for it's locally grown wine and you will find several 'Bodegas' in the town where you can try before you buy - very popular with all the community !!

There is also a small local market on a Tuesday morning and a large 'Rastro' type market that runs the full length of the dry river bed on a Saturday morning. (For market lovers you will find a market open every day of the week at different villages)

Lliber is much smaller than Jalon, but still manages to have three bars and several restaurants, a lovely church and a wonderful place to take a walk through the vineyards.

Although small, Lliber celebrate their summer fiesta in August with great style, with Bull Running in the streets and local Bands playing great music until the early hours.

If walking appeals to you, there are many glorious walks in this area, where you will find quaint mountain restaurants and unbelievable views. We also have three good Golf courses within a 20 mile radius, should you wish to try your hand.

If you stay with us during the winter months, we can thoroughly recommend our local (Benissa) Sports Centre, it is newly opened and for a very small fee, you have the use of a large olympic size pool, and a slightly smaller warmer pool - nice for gentle swimming. There is also a communal jacuzzi, steam room and sauna and a large fully equipped Gym.

We will be happy to help you find exactly what you are looking for to make your holiday one to remember.

The Costa Blanca/Valencia/Alicante Province

This is a beautiful area of Spain, and you will need a car to guarantee that you see all that there is here.

There are of course the lovely clean white sandy beaches nearby of Moraira and Calpe, and also Javea, but there are also plenty of little coves to find, and nudist beaches if you so prefer
.

There are many water sports to try, and you can even hire a Harley Davidson or a Horse for the day, locally.

The mountains are easily accessible and the roads very good, especially the Motorways, should you wish to travel further afield.

Benidorm is only 30mins away, you will be surprised what a nice town this is, especially the quaint Spanish 'Old Town area' .
The beaches are superb, there is a huge Carrefour hypermarket, plus two fabulous water parks, as well as Terra Mitica and Terra Natura theme parks (you don't need children to thoroughly enjoy these either !!)

Inland from the beaches you will find lovely Spanish villages, tapas bars, bodegas, where you can sample the locally grown wines, and many restaurants to suit all tastes, where the 'Menu del Dia' (menu of the day) will offer you a three course meal, including wine for approx 8-12 Euros p.p. !!

The climate is wonderful, mostly sunny and hot, even in the winter months when the temperature is usually nice enough to sunbathe between 10am and 4.30pm.

Spain comes alive during Fiesta time, and during the year there are many local Fiestas to join in with, where you will experience how the Spanish have fun, sometimes right through the night with firework displays and dancing.

The local towns of Lliber, Jalon and Benissa have several Fiestas during the summer months and around Christmas time.
All over Spain, the 6th of January is celebrated in grand style for the 'Three Kings' - lovely to watch the children receiving presents in the local town squares.
